NBC.com > The West Wing > Campaign > Vinick/Sullivan

Here's an example of a real blurring of the line between fantasy and reality. The West Wing is waging its own presidential campaign and the candidates have their own websites complete with polls and blogs. This is the link to the Republican candidate; click the View the Opposition link at the bottom to see the Democrat's site. Wait...that's one way to tell that these aren't real. Real candidates wouldn't link to each others' sites!

T.H.E. Journal Online: Print Article

I am sorry I missed this article when it came out in June...very interesting list of skills that this journal believes all educators should have. It seems fair and most of these are part of the Technology Standards for Instructional Personnel in Virginia. Of course, some--like video conferencing--depend on a school division's access, but I would hope educators would at least be aware that the technology exists and be thinking about how they might use it when it becomes more widespread.
